Coupon Obsessed!

I have to admit I have rarely used coupons.  It wasn't until after having my little girl and trying to find savings that I started getting more interested in finding good deals!  Most recently, I started using Amazon coupons found in Parenting magazines to save 30-70% off of diapers.  My latest savings was buying 2-112 count Huggies size 4 diapers for $9.89 each.  I was basically stockpiling diapers since it appears the Amazon coupons are no longer available.  :(  During this time period, I began adding several saving 'blog' groups on on Facebook and started taking part in several saving/money making items such as Swagbucks.

The groups began mentioning the show 'Extreme Couponing' on TLC and in preparation I began organizing my coupons.  While the show was inspiring, I realized I wanted to just save money not totally stockpile items in such large quantities.  It is my goal ot only buy items I really use or really need.  I hope to chronicle my savings on this blog and also post saving deals and store deals that can be combined with coupons to save the most $$!

For example, I recently used the Walgreen's add to find a sale on Purex laundry detergent for $1.99 and because you can combine 1 Walgreen's coupon with 1 manufacturer's coupon, I used a $1 off Purex coupon and got laundry detergent for $.99!!!
